This 1mm Duratech Solder is available in a 200 gram roll, perfect for large projects or for long term use. It is comprised of 60% tin, 40% lead with a resin flux core.
The tin and lead solder is ideal for use in electrical, automotive, general engineering and DIY applications. It is suitable for use with a soldering iron (link to MAS products: Soldering Station 40W and Soldering Iron 25W).
Solder is a metallic alloy used to join two metallic surfaces through heating and cooling to form a bond. Flux-core solder is manufactured as a coiled wire of solder, with resin flux embedded lengthwise inside it. As the solder melts onto the joint, it frees the flux and releases that on it as well. The flux cleans the surfaces to ensure a strong bond.
Soldering is easy to do and can be done by anyone from beginners and hobbyists to professionals.
