Dalmation Jasper - named for its distinctive spots - is an aggregate of quartz and other mineral phases. Each of these beautifully polished specimens has a unique set of spots - just like a Dalmation! - so each is special.
The spots appear during the mineral's formation process as a result of the environment, and are often caused by volcanic ash!
