Plant propagation, classroom kit
Learn about the germination process first-hand with this bumper class kit.
Looking for a science activity that incorporates biology, sustainability, observational skills and and personal responsibility? The Enviro-Grow Growing Kit is an easy answer.
The kit contains enough materials for a group of up to 30 children to each plant and nurture their own seeds in their own environmentally-friendly 'Eco-pot'. They can learn about the germination process first-hand and perhaps keep a photo-diary or journal of their seeds' progress.
Students can also be responsible for providing their seeds with the water and sunlight they need to grow. No soil is required as each pot has its own 'Eco-pellet' of sphagnum peat. Allow 5 weeks for the seed to reach seedling phase, after which they can be planted straight into the ground (the Eco-pot dissolves into the soil).
