Framed Tarantula - Acanthoscurria Juruenicola
This impressive tarantula specimen - Acanthoscurria juruenicola - is a common terrestrial species from the Peruvian Amazon. A large, hairy spider that spends the day in burrows and emerges at night to hunt.
Harmless to humans, some of the larger tarantulas have been known to kill large mice, birds, lizards and small snakes. They can only ingest food in a liquid form and usually coat prey with digestive juices to achieve that result.
It is a REAL spider, completely natural, and has not been enhanced or altered in any way.
Comes professionally mounted in a black frame. Great for curious kids, collectors, or classroom units on bugs and insects.

Care Of Framed Insects
All frames are fumigated and are professionally prepared however Museum mites may occur. Mites can be detected by the presence of black dust underneath the bug. If this occurs immediately place frame inside a plastic bag and put into freezer for 72 hours. This will kill all mites. Keep framed specimens out of direct sunlight and humid areas.
