Numerule. Brightly coloured, 30cm, plastic manipulation ruler with 30 flexible buttons. Comes with instructional sheet.

How Does It Work

The Numerule combines the features of a measuring and counting device. The tactile, plastic Numerule is made of 30 flexible sections. Just click them down to count, or carry out mathematical operations adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing by depressing the sections as you go.

Click up and down the number line to add or subtract. Click up or down the number line to multiply or subtract eg 4 x 5 = click every fourth number five times. Or 10 ÷ 2 = Start at 10 and click down every second number counting each depression.

In line with the Australian Level 1 and 2 curriculum, here are some more uses for the Numerule: number & algebra, measurement & geometry, statistics & probability, explore basic number facts to 30, investigate skip counting and number patterns, MAB measurement comparison and place value use, introduce multiples, factors, prime and composite numbers, helps to keep track of scores in any number of educational games.
