Learn more about pendulum behaviour with this adjustable pendulum motion demonstrator. The demonstrator includes a selection of 3 differently weighted steel balls which can be unscrewed from the nylon string to experiment and learn about how mass affects pendulum motion. The length of the pendulum can be adjusted and a measuring tape is included. A third variable is the angle of swing and this can measured with the curved rule which is marked in centimetres. Use in conjunction with a stop watch to measure the time period of each pendulum swing.
What You Get
Pendulum Motion Law Apparatus. The demonstrator includes a heavy steel tripod base, 1.15m aluminium rod (to give a 1.2m length support for the pendulum), 1.8m nylon thread, 3m measuring tape, a pendulum pivot and clamp, a rod to wind spare nylon thread, 3 weighted steel balls (45g, 110g, 175g) and a curved measure to record the angle of the pendulum motion.
