Rubber/vacuum mat for air lifting
Become the strongest scientist in the world and show your class how you can lift a table with air!
This vacuum sealable rubber mat is a great way to teach atmospheric pressure. Just seal the rubber mat to any flat surface, then pull, pull, pull... Learn how the vacuum of air between the rubber mat and surface will keep the surfaces together no matter how hard you heave. All you need now are the muscles to lift the item underneath!
To break the seal, simply turn up one corner of the mat - it can then be easily removed from the table or any other flat surface.
Have your students try it out with lots of different surfaces and items to see how strong the power of air really is!
